To split all tracks in your Timeline at the same point in the panel, hold the 'Shift' key and click with the 'Razor' tool. To make it central relative to your sequence, it will need to be half the values of the sequence. If you're not happy with a cut you just made, press Ctrl+Z to undo it. 1 To centre the video clip: Select the clip in your timeline Click on the Effect Controls tab in the left panel Open the Motion section by clicking on the triangle, and adjust the position of the clip. To split a full clip (audio and video), click on any clip in the sequence and a through edit will be created. If you split the audio file accidentally - or vice versa - it could lead to some synching issues later. Splitting a Clip First, load your current Premiere project and select the Razor tool from the Tools panel. Keep in mind that the audio channel is also highlighted with this method, as it splits right along with the video channel. Just like with the Razor tool, the clip will be split into two right where the Current-Time Indicator is positioned.
